I
was born, long time ago, in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, in
a very small village, formerly very pleasing, called Sereno (it means dew). Free and bared foot, I grown up climbing the guavas, mango, jaboticaba trees and taking a bath in those said waterfalls in the river, in fact, a creek full of stones. |

| I think
that my passion for the plants, in general, for the orchids, in particular
comes from this childhood surrounded by the nature. Then, in my teen ages, I went to a boarding school, where I stayed for six long years (just returning home during the holidays) and suffering the lost of the freedom. When I moved to Rio de Janeiro, where I met Sergio, everything changed. I studied music, I play flute and I became hippie. After being graduated in Music, I went to France to meet Sergio (who has gone months before) to study electronic music composition, in a beautiful 12th century city called Bourges. By the way, I should summon up courage to go to France hardly speaking French. |

I
should learn it by force and going shopping was a fight and a lesson. Sergio always told me how to ask, but the French people did not endeavor, even doing a little endeavor, to understand me. The first time I asked for rice and the young lady gave it to me, I almost commemorated it. |
| Meanwhile,
Sergio patiently translated the lessons. Later, I started to work in the office of the GMEB (where we studied), which put me in contacting with composers all around the world. I composed some musical pieces and had them played in many European radios and in concerts. |

Some times later, when I returned to Rio, I participated in the International Festival of Electro-acoustic Music and in concerts at the Parque Lage and Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM) |

| Realizing
that it was impossible to live just as electro-acoustic musician, I sudden
changed again of position in my life and started to work as an executive
trilingual secretary. Later, once again, I sudden changed. Tired of administering for someone else, I became associated to Sergio in his photography studio, accomplishing a happy personal partnership, became it else professional. Besides to be an associate, I also became the production supervisor and representative and we tried to establish as a working rule, in an American style, where the representative does the contacts while the photographer stays in the studio. Among all those things, I have time to study and cultivate my preferred plants: The orchids. From this passion, Sergio had the idea of giving me a gift, in 1996: a website called Brazilian Orchids, in Portuguese and in English. It became one of the most awarded and most known Brazilian site about orchids, often visited by orchidists from all around the world and it is recommended by the American Orchid Society in its Orchid Source Directory 2000-2002 and has already received almost 1.000.000 visits. Sergio and I also have a virtual magazine called Orchid News, which is in the 32nd edition. Briefly, a happy partnership in the private and commercial life even in the hobby. |
